Here is this weeks Sunday Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how my last week has gone.
I managed to miss last Sunday as we were in Copenhagen so this is going to cover the two weeks missing out some of the Copenhagen photos as I will get back to them at some point in the next few weeks and don’t want to post them too many times…
I managed to finish my socks before I went to Copenhagen and managed to wear them whilst out there 🙂
Nikki Made a Lego cake for her supervisor, Dr Block
When I was at Sunsail at the beginning of the week I realised I didn’t have any wool for my next project that I wanted to take with me on our trip so I messaged Nikki some instructions and got her to order me some wool. Look what arrived…
She also bought herself a new bedspread, She’s very happy about this…
Some more of my hand knits got an airing on this trip too. Here is my 1898 hat which I turned into a headband. Soo Warm
We saw a lot of places in Copenhagen one of them was the Tivoli Gardens which were decorated for Halloween which basically means it was covered in Pumpkins. All of the Pumpkins…
I managed to get quite a way through my next project whilst away…
When we returned I used up all the remaining veg from the garden to make a tomato sauce for some pasta. I hid a few cucamelons in there to try and use them up. I also added one home grown chilli, this didn’t go down too well!
I also cooked up a gammon joint to make ham 🙂 and used the boiling water to make soup, Feeling very domestic at the moment 🙂
I finally (after three attempts) managed to find a suitable way of doing the cuffs on my gloves…
This was dinner on Saturday evening, I really do lead the most glamorous life!
But this view makes up for it!
Today and yesterday I was elbow deep in grease servicing winches on the Sunsail boats…
I started another crochet project this evening and managed to make a mistake at the start! Möbius hat any one?
LOVE Nikki’s lego man cake 🙂 Loving all that scrummy food and wooliness to. Interesting gloves. Is it a pattern you’re following or are you designing them?
Yeah the cake is wonderful isn’t it.
It’s a pattern I’m making but realised I have made the two gloves slightly different sizes so I need to work out if I’m going to go back and re do one of them…
Oops, have you managed to get that far without realising you’ve twisted the first round? No such mistakes on your socks, I see – they’re beautiful. It must be wonderful to have such an outdoorsy job, despite the odd mucky job like greasing cogs.
Lol thankfully I hadn’t been working in the round the whole time. I created
Lol thankfully I hadn’t been working in the round the whole time. I created a flat band and then joined it which is where it went wrong…
I do love being outdoors and don’t mind the greasy jobs. It’s great when the weather is good. 🙂
Thanks about the socks I’m loving them
