Monday Sevens #75

Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.

This week has been a bit of a hectic time, with Nikki and Philip taking a trip up to Norwich to look at some flats.

They had a lovely lunch out at a pub right in the city centre 🙂

Nikki picked up some lovely fabrics from Sew Creative a local sewing shop in the city

This is in addition to some other super cute fabric picked up from fabricland (i’m having a bit of a phase at the moment…)

Drinks to celebrate a friend getting a new job turned into snacks in Turtle Bay followed by dinner out as well 🙂

And the cute fabrics are actually going to be made into things! I started to make some bags from some of our fabric stash and some of the new fabrics. Hopefully cutting out in bulk will speed up my bag making process, at the moment they take quite a while.

We even did a bit of repurposing – Pippa managed to pick up a knackered sail from work which we cut up into more manageable pieces on the driveway… There are plans for this to be used in many bags, but at the moment it has just been turned into a little bag for Pippa. Much faster to do as it has no lining.

Pippa finished off her boyfriend cardigan – adding the buttons on to make it completely finished!
Shapely boyfriend cardigan.

Pippa was working most of the week, clearly it was some tiring days on the water. These are her clients on one day taking a little afternoon nap…
A very trying day on the water

Lovely fabric for bags and a great idea about the sail. Is it waterproof? Delighted to see Pippa’s boyfriend cardigan finish = assume she’ll do a separate post for it when she’s less busy? It looks fabulous from the peeks I’ve seen

I’m not sure how waterproof it would be but definitely water resistant. Currently testing a few pattern ideas.
I think she will get a post up but it might not be for a little while. It is looking rather good though! Not sure if she’s posted more about it on ravelry.
