Monday Sevens #69

Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.

So this week we have actually both been around which makes a change from normal! Unfortunately Pippa was back because she was ill and I’ve been working all week so we haven’t really done a huge amount this week.

Another bit of experimentation with food this week. I tried out a recipe we used to have as children which is marrow stuffed with bolognase, I tried using quorn mince for the first time for this recipe though. A success although the quorn mince has a very bizzare texture!

We also made up some fish cakes later in the week – breaded cod & mackerel fishcakes and thai style salmon fishcakes. Both were super tasty and finished off with some tomatoes from the garden and some homemade satay sauce 🙂

I fitted in another puzzle this week, trying out my new puzzle kaddy to store it in 🙂

The nice weather is hopefully here to stay for a little bit *fingers crossed* so our tomatoes are actually ripening! This whopper here is all one tomato plant…

We got a delivery of fruit from our parents this week so Pippa made up some batches of Crab-apple jelly and Blackberry jam. 🙂 We’ll hopefully get the dehydrator back out soon for some dried fruit slices.

I got in a bit of knitting as well as Pippa getting back to knitting and made up a few swatches for my Blanket knitting project, practising getting an I-cord selvedge.
