Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.
Pippa is back in Poole now and it seems that spring decided to turn up (at least for the beginning of the week!), after the public transport journey back from Soton to Poole there was a chance for some sunbathing in the garden before the sun disappeared and the winter boots have been replaced with Summers footwear – deckshoes – at least for some days
On Thursday Ed turned up in Poole, having some time off work next week meant that he was able to come down and spend some time with Pippa. And spoiled her with a lovely cooked brunch. 🙂
And took her out shopping with his car, time to stock up on all the cans and bottles of drink…
PDF patterns are a wonderful invention but from time to time technology doesn’t play ball, Nan has a wonderful printer which you can connect to wirelessly meaning you can print from your phone etc, but from time to time it hiccups. This week we have had PDFs printing at the wrong scaling and this!
No Printer that isn’t how it works!
Talk about a waste of paper, two A4 pages to print one letter sized page…
Despite printers and PDF patterns not wanting to play ball some sewing has occurred this week. A Seamwork Rio top in truly lovely Heavy Viscose jersey. I’m sure this wont be the last time this pattern appears on this blog, it doesn’t produce the most flattering top but it is very comfy. I’m thinking I need a new PJ top at some point…
Nikki has spent most of the week working. Although she did get started on a mock up of the leotard for her new ballroom dress! 🙂 This is made up with gold lycra and gold glitter power mesh.
This is actually the first leotard Nikki has done from scratch, so jumping right in with princess seam adjustments panelling and sleeves! So many pattern adjustments!
And now the entire kitchen is covered in glitter… this fabric isn’t actually glittery
Nikki went out with the Dance society on Friday and Saturday… lots of cocktails so afterwards definitely time to treat herself to a mexican style brunch. Chorizo is definitely a great addition to brunch!
