Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.
Some how 3 weeks seem to have gone by without us posting at all, I have no idea how that happened, life seems to get ontop of me at times! So here is a recap of those last 3 weeks…
These are not in order of how they happened:
Pancake day was celebrated in our house with extra flair this year with added champagne… I had jsut come back from the Sunsail Skippers Brief in Portsmouth where I got presented with an award for going “Over and Above” last year, which came with a bottle of Champagne, hence the luxurious dinner.
So far this year I have managed to do quite a lot of making, this was brought home to me when I decided to log everything that I had sewn in February in my Bullet Journal:
I finally ticked another item off my 2017 Make Nine list:
And some March makes: Look I made Jeans!!
A post at this time of year wouldn’t be finished with out a mention of dancing and there is quite a bit to mention. We have had two competitions in this time, IVDC (our nationals) and Bristol Friendly. Nikki competed in both of them but Pippa only did Bristol. Both of us wore brand new Team dresses for at least one dance so it has been nice to see them in action.
Nikki and her partner have been putting in loads of work practicing and it has paid off as they got through to the finals in both Ballroom and Latin at Bristol 🙂 [L-R: Nikki and her dance Partner; Nikki in one of the new team Latin dress; Pippa and her dance partner, surprisingly dresses for Latin, their first time dancing this in over a year!, in another of the team dresses]
In true form the night before the competitions Pippa was busy Rhinsetoning dresses (and hair!). Her Ballroom “dress” now has a new leotard with more sparkle on it! And Nikki has a hair piece which makes getting all doled up in the morning much quicker (and for IVDA means she doesn’t have to sleep with her hair done!)
In other news:
Nikki is already planning her next big project, a new ballroom dress and has already collected some of the fabrics:
Pippa had one of her teeth pulled out on Wednesday when it started settling down it felt a little weird, Nikki pulled this lump of filling out of the hole on Saturday evening!
Sunday evening we had some friends round for a Dungeons and Dragons evening – that is something that I never thought I would ever write – it was more fun than I thought it would be tbh. And the evening ended with belated Birthday Cake!
And finally we have and in action shot of Aneesa in her new Salwar Kameez, that we made for her, at her cousins wedding. Hopefully we will have more photos of this to come in the near future as well as photos of the Jodi Bora.

Champagne with pancakes – that’s the way to go 🙂 And congratulations on your sailing award. As usual all thee dresses are gorgeous – you guys are so talented! 🙂
Thanks, (I am so useless at replying to comments when I read them!)
I think we need to start a trend, Champagne with traditional dishes. Its good with Fish and Chips too… 🙂
