Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.
I got so close to posting this Monday Sevens on Sunday evening to go up on Monday but time got away from me, and now it is Wednesday! How did that happen!
Monday was a day in London for Nikki and Pippa. Nikki travelled in for a “Hackathon” attempting to find innovative ways to handle and capture health and safety data.
Pippa used the excuse to check out some of London’s fabric shops. Calling in at Crescent Trading before travelling to Goldhawk road. She spent most of the late afternoon/evening suffering from Serious Fabric Overload Disorder (SFOD) after taking in so many wonderful shops chockablock with fabric.
Once back down South Pippa spent the week in Poole catching up on life there and spending the rest of the week with Nan and getting to use a sewing machine and some knitting needles again. – I’m finally making progress on the green pair of socks now that I have got to the more interesting bit and have sewn up some of my fabric haul from London in the form of an extended Oslo Cardigan.
I have been gaining karmic brownie points mending things recently. Resewing the seams on one of my jumpers, darning my nan’s socks and finally hemming a new top which my other machine wouldn’t cope with.
Pippa has been trying out some of her art again
And Nikki has been making Birthday Cards:
Saturday Night we both went to a friends party (at which both the birthday card and dancing art were presented) and had a lovely evening drinking champagne cocktails and shots
Suunday we returned to pick up the car and it really showed how much the british weather can change in a few days, it was lovely and sunny on Thursday and we had to scrape the car out on Sunday!

Another fun, busy week. Kudos for doing the repairs – they always seem to wait forever.
I will check my Burda magazines for the one you are looking for
Thanks. Yes I’m not going to admit hope long that jumper has been waiting
Thankfully I have been sent the info on the specific dress I wad looking for. I just need to see if I can find a digital copy of the whole thing so I don’t have this situation every time I want to make a pattern from it…
Ooh, those cocktails look dangerous….did you manage to avoid the dreaded hangover? Inspired by your mini mending marathon, I am almost tempted to round up all mine and just do them all in one go. Love that you’re Arty as well as Crafty – bet the card and painting went down a treat. More snow forecast for Easter weekend, so I’m led to understand…..
Yes I have seen some of the forescasts of snow for the easter weekend – not looking forward to that as I am travelling that weekend… hopefully its not as bad as they had predicted.
Hangover wasn’t non existant but wasn’t as bad as it could have been thankfully.
I’ll bet you found the Goldhawk Road a treasure trove for dancewear fabrics.
I wasn’t really looking for dance wear fabric but yes I did come across some lovely stuff.
Woop for being able to comment again 🙂
I notice the exclamation mark in the circle and the ‘Not Secure’ message are still displayed in my address bar though :/
Hmm. That just means it wasn’t https, but that shouldn’t have prevented you from commenting. Nevertheless I have converted the entire site to https now, so it should hopefully have a nice secure padlock on it now! Fingers crossed everything is working, but if I broke it all again I’d love it if you could pop us a message on fb or IG. 🙂
