Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.
Here this is a little late as for some reason it didn’t publish yesterday as I thought it did…
This week was the run-up to our last dance competition of the year so Nikki’s dress got some more stones. It still has more work planned on it but it is looking really good at the moment. I also produced a lovely disco ball effect in the morning light. What a way to wake up!
Nikki’s letting is coming on a treat, trying out new techniques on some thesis appropriate words…
She also treated herself to some new pens this week and got treated to some free Haribo too 🙂
Pippa has been experimenting with some more bread recipes and produced a batch of flatbread that was consumed with jerk chicken made from our never-ending roast chicken!
Saturday was Comp Day so off we bundled to Bristol nice and early in the morning, thankfully this comp ran to time and finished at a nice respectable time so we managed to catch up in the Stags Head (Pub on Campus) after returning to Southampton.
Also whilst at the comp Nikki had a nice photo shoot with her dance partner with a few amusing outtakes…

On Sunday we jumped on the train and crossed London to return home for Mothers Day. Nikki made a lovely card using her newly honed lettering skills and Pippa made yet another batch of brownies (which never seem to last long…), and we scoured the house for a suitable vase for the flowers. This one was lurking in Nikki’s old room and was holding some rolls of wallpaper. We think it worked perfectly for the flowers that we picked:
Our Dad cooked dinner for us all and we got out the posh cutlery and wine decanter…
Lessons learned from this experience, when buying a wine decanter find one that has a better aspect ratio so doesn’t need turning entirely upside down to actually decant more than half a bottle!

A busy week! Nicky’s lettering’s looking fabulous! Bread looks yummy too. See what you mean about the decanter. Have your parents moved? I though they were near me?
Nikki’s lettering looks very professional now, and her Mother’s Day card is coincidentally very similar to the one my daughter made for me……
Hehe they obviously have great taste…
