Monday Sevens #79

Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.

So it turns out in the whole of the month of October we didn’t post a single post that wasn’t a Monday Sevens post! And I had thought that as we got towards the end of the year we would get better at posting… Well lets see how that goes, considering this post is two days late already.

This week has been a bit of a hectic one with Work, Halloween The run up to our fist comp of the year and Nikki’s birthday.

Halloween isn’t always celebrated very much in our household and this year was no exception, we did get a pumpkin carved in time for our single set of trick or treaters, but only just! And it got repurposed into a flower vase this year for one of Nikki’s sets of birthday flowers…

With the run up to our first competition of the year we obviously had some preparation to do. Finding where all the makeup had been hidden over the summer, locating the fake tan, dusting off the dresses etc. As Pippa was working at Sunsail Thursday and Friday servicing winches, Friday evening required more of a transformation than normal, but even this turned out to require tools!

Nikki testing out her eyeshadow choices and cleaning the brush in-between the different colours resulted in a very bruised looking hand!

Apparently this is what happens when you mix lots of brown, blue and pink eyeshadow together.

She ended up settling on Pink and Blue to match the two different outfits that she was wearing.

And because no post about us competing would be complete without photos of the pretty dresses (/us dancing) here are two photos taken by one of our society members (Thank you Hugo Manning)

yes it took quite a bit to scrub all the grease marks off my arms and fake nails were a must to cover up all the stuff that got stuck under my nails!
