Sunday Sevens #28

Ooh shocking this weeks Sunday Sevens  post is a Sunday! I am linking up with Natalie to show what my week has been like.

This one just sneaks in there. Last Sunday we drove up to Buxton with the motor home and a hire van. As is normal with our family we drove up late at night, what is less normal though is spending an hour in the services waiting for the AA man to fix the van!

All of the driving was to get to Hillhead quarry for the quarrying and mining show which my parents company was exhibiting at. One of the first things to do when we arrived was get additional gravel put down.

The stand in all its glory

Can you guess which direction the wind/rain was coming from?

The quarry floor was covered in big boys toys!

All of the rain we had provided a few logistical problems. The main one being the lake that formed in the main aisle next to our stand.

But it did provide the opportunity for a few artistic shots.

I did manage to get some knitting done there and on the journey back in the car. But trains are always my favourite transport for knitting on. Here I am almost matching the London underground colour scheme.

I decided not to get my normal burger king from Waterloo and instead got a massive burrito. I was so full after this, which was probably a good thing as I got delayed by nearly an hour as a tree had fallen on the train tracks.

Heart wrenching. Only today I realised in my haste to get my cardigan knitted I had missed off binding off some stitches for the base of the arm scye and had to rip back this much!

Yes it is very depressing, but I have now managed to finish that front and am starting on the sleeves now so it could have been worse. Fingers crossed for no more ripping back in this cardigan.
