Sunday Sevens #24

Late again… One of these days I will be organised enough to produce a number of these posts on a Sunday, but now is not that time (for some reason this didn’t post last week when it was supposed to so here it is now…) Well here is this weeks Sunday Sevens  organised by Natalie.
At the start of the week I was up at Ed’s still, we went out to Worcester for an early Birthday Celebration for me, we had a wander down the river and back into town via the Cathedral.

We then did a bit of charity shop shopping where Ed sourced a second hand book for me as a present, then we went for lunch where this happened… Yup he sat there and read my book :p At least he put it down when the food came.

My legs got introduced to the sunshine for the first time this year.

On Tuesday Ed returned to ship and I returned to Southampton, where Nikki talked me into doing some gardening on a particularly miserable day. But look at how big our artichoke plant has got!

On Weds evening I was off to Port Solent for work and worked from Thurs-Sun. The last 3 days were an event for the brewery industry and with Jagermeister as one of the sponsors lots of it was consumed. Thankfully it wasn’t all as shots or Jagerbombs. Jagermeister is actually quite nice with ginger beer, who would have thought it!

On Sunday evening I returned and caught up with my parents, I got given my early Birthday present from them too. Guess my surprise after commenting on Sewchets Instagram post the other day about how good this pattern looked to get given the magazine for my birthday.

You’re not late over here across the pond – it’s still mid-afternoon Sunday. And we’re in Bank Hol mood too (ours being Memorial Day). Well, Early Happy Birthday to you! What’s your new book? How I envy you that magazine, as the copy I bought was very interesting, even if it did arrive 2 months after ordering. The pattern also looks great. Hope you recover from your last “voyage” before the next one begins!

      Thank you.
For some reason WordPress decided not to notify me that people had been kind enough to comment on this post, so sorry my reply is a bit late… The book is an old nautical reference book, which has been annotated by its previous owner.

Happy Birthday! What a beautiful old cathedral – lovely spot for a break, my legs look just like yours, I do love a bit of ginger beer now and again, and that looks like a very versatile pattern. Nice week!

Yeah it should be a good pattern, when I get round to tracing it out!
