Monday Sevens #63

Here is this weeks “Sunday” Sevens post, linking up to Natalie to give a snap shot view of how the last week has gone.

Well we started off the week in Poole but headed back to Southampton where there was an impossipuzzle waiting for us upon our return. Pippa took up multitasking doing a bit of knitting and joining in with the puzzle.

Although I thought it was going to take a while to complete the smarties side, it actually didn’t take that long at all. Much, much easier than the brussels sprouts/ beans double-sided one I completed before. I even got another 1000 piece jigsaw completed this week as well, but now I’ve run out of Jigsaws to do…

Following on from the knitting swatch I made last week I put in an order for 20 balls of drops andes wool from woolwarehouse… So glad it was on sale! Pippa also decided that she wanted to make a blanket (copycat…) and so she (I) purchased some more drops andes in Sea green mix. We had this beautiful squishy package arrive! Really looking forward to the blanket that is going to be made from this!

Pippa and I both use the bullet journal system in various ways as a diary/task system. I like it because it’s flexible and I don’t have to always write in it. I like it to be fairly simple but every now and again I like to ‘pretty it up’. Art is definitely not a strong suit of mine though… But I like how this monthly page turned out

This week I’ve actually done a bit of sewing, although this project is part of something I’m going to be giving away so I’ll post more about it once the recipient has got it. But some nice colour combos going on here.

I visited some friends on the weekend which was lovely to have a bit of a catch up and some homemade pizzas and cocktails! They might look a little strange but they were very tasty!

There was a last minute trip to the local gardeners fayre on Sunday. But I managed to pick up some courguettes (as none of my seeds grew) and some purple sprouting broccoli as well as a few flowers. Once I got back I planted a few things out and re-did the strawberry planter and some cuttings.

Another thing I had to try and sort was netting the blueberry bush… I want to protect the large about of fruit it has from the birds. But I felt like I was trying to wrestle an unwilling adult into a babygrow! Got there in the end though!

Hope you all had a nice week in amongst the changeable weather!
