Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone.

Our tradition is to spend Christmas at my parents house but this year the holiday period started differently to normal, Nikki and I had our normal Mince Pies and Mulled Wine event at our house for our Uni friends then Christmas Dinner at our house only serving 10 people this time (as opposed to our normal 12!). But then we also cooked another Christmas dinner on Christmas eve in Dorset for my Grandparents before travelling down to my parents, we arrived around 10pm and I ended up prepping the turkey that evening!

Christmas Day started out putting the turkey on and then the traditional opening of the Santa Presents, which was suplimented by my #stitchingsanta presents. Since Nikki arranged most of the stocking presents I gave her one of my #stitchingsanta parcels to unwrap so that she would at least open something that she didn’t know what was inside. And also as crafty stuff she will get some use out of what ever I got.

Christmas Day we cooked lunch for 6 people, boxing day our cousins arrived so we were catering for 9 people, they stayed over night and we have more guests arriving tomorrow so we are all enjoying the evening off from being social (although my parents did go over the road to see some of the neighbours). Tomorrow we have some of the day off before the guests arrive and I am going to meet a friend for lunch at the Shops at Dartington which will be nice and also in keeping with tradition as we always go there at least once every Christmas.

I hope you are all enjoying the holidays and are fitting in some time to relax.
