Future Sewing Plans

This recently Nikki and I took a trip to Fabric Land in Bournemouth to get some fabric for the Latin dresses, well that didn’t happen but I did come back with a big bag of new fabrics for me Smile and here are some ideas of what I plan to sew with them (confession: some of these might already have been sewn up)

Some lovely Aztec print thick sweater material, it is kind of like sweatshirting but has a softer front than I would have expected from a sweatshirt. I plan to make a long Oslo Sweater from this lovely fabric

Jade 100% Viscose 3.33/m
Butterick B5997

I’m thinking of making another Butterick B5997 from this lovely bright turquoise viscose fabric. I think the top needs some kind of closure at the top of the neck opening, a button and loop or a permanent ‘strap’.

THE EYES UPON US JERSEY £4.44mt. 147cm wide
Aberdeen

This snuggly thin sweater knit I am thinking of making some thin mid layer jumper, Abderdeen (with a round neck, obviously) or a Renfrew.

cotton bengaline, aubergine

I have plans for this cotton Bengaline to become a pair of shorts. Possibly trying the fit of my first pair of bottoms from Burda Style magazine.

Chambery Anchors Nautical NAVY 80%Poly/20%COTTON £3.99mt 140cm
Butterick B5997

I think this chambray would work well for something like the Cheyenne Tunic. I’m thinking about modifying Butterick B5997 to have a partial placket and take out the gathers (and add a FBA).

Thanks. A couple more things in the pipe line but I’ve got to start wrapping up my “spring” sewing plans soon. Some progress posts to come soon
